wiPod

A new application for the iPod, called wiPod has a list of free wireless spots in the Bay Area. If my laptop had a functional battery, I’d add this to my list of reasons to buy an iPod…

  1. Don’t buy an iPod. They’re made to break quickly and getting them fixed is expensive and incredibly tedious. It’s really not worth it! I got mine exchanged (after way too many trips to the store) due to bad battery (a well-known problem) and the replacement stopped functioning after just a few uses as well. Now I’m past the warranty period and it would cost $50 just so they could tell me that yes, it has a problem (I already know that), but they will no longer exchange it for a functioning model. That’s a lot of money (and time) down the drain.
